Research Misconduct

AI Med takes research integrity seriously and follows established principles of publication ethics in evaluating and responding to suspected misconduct.

Research misconduct may include, but is not limited to:

• plagiarism
• duplicate submission or duplicate publication
• data fabrication or falsification
• image manipulation that affects interpretation
• inappropriate authorship attribution
• undisclosed conflicts of interest
• unethical research involving humans or animals

If concerns are raised before publication, the journal may pause editorial processing while the matter is assessed. Authors may be asked to provide explanations, underlying data, ethics approvals, authorship clarification, or other supporting documentation.

If concerns are raised after publication, AI Med may investigate and, where necessary, publish a correction, expression of concern, or retraction. Serious cases may be referred to the relevant institution, ethics committee, or other appropriate body.

AI Med reserves the right to reject manuscripts or retract published articles when misconduct is confirmed or when the integrity of the work cannot be adequately established.
